Hi, I am so glad you are here!

I am Abhi, a Registered Massage Therapist and founder of Toronto Massage Therapy. I am also a certified yoga teacher and a human anatomy geek.

When I received my first massage a few years ago, it literally changed my life! I loved receiving it, I loved how I felt after, and I loved the results it provided! I had fallen in love with massage therapy! A few years later, I got certified in Thai Massage and went on to become a Registered Massage Therapist. I eventually gave up my corporate gig to focus full-time on bringing massage therapy to clients like you. Now I am living my dream of helping you feel good while I feel good doing it!

With a daily yoga practice, a regular fitness regime, and prior participation in CrossFit, I have had my fair share of injuries and know first-hand how limiting pain can be. I bring that experience, my lessons in healing, and my skills and confidence in massage therapy to the table, to you. Now that you have found me, allow me to help you manage your pain and speed up your recovery so that you can continue enjoying your physical activities and feel the best you can. Allow me to provide you with a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free space where you will feel heard, connected, and receive effective and quality healthcare.

Outside of the treatment room, I love – to practice and teach yoga. Daily workouts and idle summer days. Fantasy movies and Rumi quotes. Everything cookies and dark chocolate! Gardening and cultivating growth. Calm and chaos of the ocean. Road trips and photography. Hopeless optimism and grounded attitudes. Harvesting fruits of my labour and this right here.

About Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is known to improve health, maintains wellness, and prevent illness. It helps to improve circulation, joint mobility, lymphatic drainage,  immune system functioning, and decrease muscle tension and spasm. Massage provides an overall sense of well-being by reducing anxiety and depression by releasing endorphins (feel-good hormones), and by decreasing cortisol (a stress-inducing chemical).

Massage therapy can help people of all ages with pain, injury, illness, and stress. It can also prevent some of these problems from occurring or recurring by offering a non-invasive, drug-free, personalized approach to health and wellness, based on the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

About Yoga & Thai Massage

Yoga is a blend of physical postures (asanas), breath-work (pranayama), meditation, and relaxation. It boosts the rest and digest response of the body, providing more energy and mental focus. Various asanas also provide stretching and strengthening and complement Massage Therapy by improving muscle and joint functions.

Thai Massage is also based on Yoga as a healing modality and uses acupressure and assisted yoga postures. Similar to Yoga, Thai massage also supplements Massage Therapy through joint mobilization, increasing blood circulation, lowering cortisol, and promoting overall well-being of the mind and body.
